Where did May go? It’s felt like a bit of a “blink, and you’ll miss it” months!
We haven’t done very much this month, with Myke returning to work it’s been pretty tough readjusting to both being Robin’s sole carer (and the loneliness of being home with just him most of the time) and to just missing Myke quite badly. We’ve tried to make the most of our afternoons while at he’s on phased return though, but we’ve been enjoying the moments more than taking photographs.
I say that, but we’ve taken lots of pictures, but most have been of one or two of us, not all three!
This month, the 30th marked five years of marriage for Myke and I. Where did time go? I can’t believe that Robin is coming up for 17 months soon too! Time does fly.
The days are long, but the years are short.
And I have a feeling that that’s a sentiment that will continue in my life for a while.
Robin has had another leap this month too. He’s now firmly in his 18-24m clothes, even a couple of 2-3years! He’s desperately trying to talk, and has found lots of annoying YouTube videos such as “What do you see?”, “Booba“, “Tilly the Train” and my arch-nemesis: “Baby Shark Dance“. Less annoying (sort of!) has been “Transportation Names and Sounds” (Car! Am-bu-la-la! Mo!) and “The Wheels on the Bus” (Makaton signing which Robin has started to copy – I may see about rejoining baby signing.)
His favourite things include Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Thomas the Tank Engine. He also has a soft spot for PJ Masks, but I’m not as keen! He loves looking at his books and pointing out things when I ask him (Where’s the mouse? Where’s the snake? etc.) He also loves pointing out his and our body parts when asked. His favourites include nose, eyes, ears, head, hair, chin, teeth, mouth, toes and his very favourite, belly button! He’s also being very affectionate, especially at bedtime, and he loves brushing his teeth.
He’s also spent most of the month teething but has also got a new independent streak so food times have been somewhat trying!
A very windy day on the seafront in Lytham St. Annes!
A hot and sunny afternoon spent on Wrea Green (with ice creams and burnt lips (me!).
Some food at the Lord Derby pub in St. Annes to celebrate Myke and I’s anniversary!
I’m going to try writing June’s as the month progresses in the effort to not only get the post out earlier but maybe make it a little more interesting too. You’ll have to let me know how that goes! I hope you all have a blessed and safe June – May has been pretty scary.
