Mushy Pea Curry

Mushy Pea Curry - Misadventurous MummyMushy pea curry is possibly one of the strangest, most revolting sounding recipes that taste’s absolutely fantastic! It is a must try, great for weight loss since it’s all free and can be easily packed up with speed foods. If you are missing chip shop curry, blitz a portion of this. Dip your Slimming World Chips in a blitzed portion to make one of the best fake-aways! Otherwise, pack it out with veg and chicken or Quorn Pieces, for a more traditional curry. It tastes fine as a curry without the extra veg, but why not use it as a good excuse to get some speed foods in there. I use onion, mushrooms, peppers and cauliflower although any would work well.

Mushy Pea Curry

  • 2 tins mushy peas
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tin baked beans
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Curry powder
  • Chilli powder (to taste)

  1. Empty tins, garlic and curry powder into a pan heating for approx 5 mins.
  2. Add chilli powder to taste.
  3. If you are making chip shop style curry, just blitz the curry until you reach the desired consistency before serving with Slimming World chips and boiled rice.
  4. If you want a more traditional curry, just fry the other ingredients in a separate pan until cooked through before stirring into the curry, leaving it to marinate for as long as possible before serving on a bed of rice.
